Deer just walking around. The views are spectacular and it feels very safe. The bus service is not very frequent and walking is possible, but takes time.
Resident 3y ago. Only down side might be the traffic. There are many parks for dogs to roam. Visitor 3y ago. Happy owners happy dogs. And dogs are well behaved. People usually are as well. Goos schools and a good place to raise children. I've lived here since and never moving again! And you gotta love that amazing view of the bay. Great for families and pets. Several areas to hike, walk, bike. Educated community with several Cal Berkeley Alumni. Fine dining and entertainment. Walking distance to one of the finest universities in the world.
We raised three kids here and will likely continue living here as long as we are alive. We take almost daily walks up the hill into nearby Tilden Park, or down the hill to shop for groceries. It's so quiet at night that guests regularly oversleep. Neighbors are friendly and tolerant, crime is the lowest in Berkeley. Views on San Francisco Bay are breathtaking. Winters are mild, summers can be foggy, but fall is fantastic.

The school felt very safe and he quickly got great friends at the school. The teachers and management at the school were very, very dedicacted. He had the bedst two months of his life at the school.
