Thanks for your feedback. I am in total agreement with you. It is frustrating that Microsoft cannot quit shooting themselves in the foot especially when it comes to Windows Phone.

I too am wondering if there is any plan to upgrade Sync to work better with Windows Phone 8. Cortana connectivity would be a great addition, as would syncing destinations like it does with the other phones.

My previous Nokia and now my work well with my Explorer for most things like Voice Calling and Playing Bluetooth Audio but it frustrates me that I adding a destination is such a pain when I already have it on my phone. I actually set my phone in the cup holder and use it's maps half the time because Sync can't seem to add the destination by voice commands and entering it on the screen is a pain. Unfortunately thus far rather than support Windows Phone Microsoft would rather put out a new update to improve functionality with the competition rather than create an App for their own phone ecosystem.

One other clue for Microsoft might be to work with Wireless Providers? The phone thinks it is connected to Sync however Sync doesn't show a phone connected. If I turn off Bluetooth and reenable it pairs fine. I also use a Bluetooth home phone and connect my cell to it. The Windows phone may not be unpairing with the home phone correctly and pairing with Sync when I leave the house.

I called sync my ride support and they told me there was an update so I called a different dealer and they agreed. Thank you so much for your reply. Alas, this isn't the answer. Through process of elimination, it would appear as if Ford needs to provide a software update. My version of Sync doesn't play well with iPhone 7 or 8, it would seem.

The Ford website only lists software updates for the iPhone 4, 5 and 6 for my version of Sync.
